About
About this blog:
This site began life in 2009 as a spinoff from PogoWasRight.org after the number of breaches in 2008 made me realize I needed a separate site just for breaches.
This site receives no funding or financial support and that’s the way I intend to keep it. If you like the site and find it valuable, drop me a note to let me know.
About me:
I’m not a security professional. I’m a privacy advocate who believes that we cannot protect our privacy when stewards do not do a good job of protecting our information. This blog is a constant reminder that we are nowhere close to achieving adequate security.
As of 2011, I also became a Curator and Researcher for the Open Security Foundation’s DataLossDB project. The views expressed on this blog are my own, and do not represent those of the Open Security Foundation.
To contact me about this blog, email breaches[at]databreaches.net.
