AL: Former Flowers Hospital employee sentenced in data theft for tax refund fraud case

He triedunsuccessfully – to withdraw his guilty plea, and now Kamarian Millender has been sentenced to two years in prison and $18,915 restitution for his role in stealing patient data from Flowers Hospital for use in a tax refund fraud scheme.

A lawsuit against the hospital over the breach survived a motion to dismiss in September.
