AL: Pair busted with bag of credit cards

David Goodwin reports on the arrest of two low-tech ID thieves in Alabama:

Rogers said he worked with Montgomery police to execute a search of Cudjoe’s home, where they found a potato chip bag containing 12 credit cards, none in their name, he said. He also found lists of the names, dates of birth and social security numbers of 14 or 15 people, Morris said.

Cudjoe and James were charged with 10 counts each of identity theft and trafficking in stolen identities.
“We don’t have much go on here, but when we do, we try to jump on it and take care of it,” Rogers said.

Rogers said he found mail that was stolen from boxes in Coosada, Millbrook and Montgomery.
