Another French hospital hit by cyberattack

Mathieu Ferri reports (translation):

The phone no longer answers at the Saint-Gaudens hospital (Haute-Garonne). According to information from France Bleu Occitanie, the Comminges-Pyrénées hospital center has been the victim of a computer attack since around 4 a.m. , this Thursday, April 8, which greatly disrupts its operation.

A ransom demand has been presented, explains the director of the hospital, Jean-Marc Viguier. The administration explains having ” blocked all computer servers to protect data and contamination” and thus prevent the aspiration of patient data.

As has reported, a number of French hospitals and medically-related entities have been hit by ransomware recently. In at least some of the attacks, DoppelPaymer ransomware was involved.
