AU: Two more SA Health workers sacked for spying on patient records

Brad Crouch reports:

Two more SA Health staff have been sacked in the past three months for spying on patient records, bringing the total to seven people terminated in the past year.

Another staff member quit prior to the allegations being substantiated and a volunteer was also terminated, while four other staff members were disciplined.

The sackings are part of SA Health’s tough new policy on staff inappropriately accessing patient records, triggered after it was revealed in February that 13 clinicians hacked into Cy Walsh’s medical records without authority after the son of killed Crows coach Phil Walsh was brought to Flinders Medical Centre following the death.
