Biggest Crypto Hack of 2023: Mixin Network Stops Withdrawals After Losing $200 Million to Hackers

The Mixin network was recently hit by a multi-million dollar hack.

Mixin confirmed that over $200 million worth of cryptocurrencies were wiped from its mainnet due to a security breach on September 23. According to recent data, this is equivalent to half of the net TVL of all mixin-based protocols.

In its statement, Mixin Network team revealed that hackers attacked its “cloud service provider”. Following the announcement, all deposit and withdrawal services on the Mixin network were immediately halted. However, transfers will not be affected during this period.
