- Paul D. Gale, the owner of Roadhouse Grill & Tavern, has been arrested on charges he made a fraudulent insurance claim and collected phony charges using customers’ credit card numbers. More.
- Gerry Lynn McAfee was sentenced to 33 months in prison for stealing the identity of a Vietnam War veteran and using that identity to receive thousands of dollars of health care benefits between December 1999 and March 2007 by masquerading as a veteran. More.
- Alfonso Lopez-Ramirez was sentenced Tuesday to serve a total of eight years in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud in connection with his participation in a large multi-state fraud and identity theft conspiracy. More.
- As a follow-up to an indictment mentioned here, Jameelah Josiah, the former temporary worker at the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department, pleaded guilty to identity theft. At the time, Josiah was working as a temp at the department through Express Employment Professionals. More.
