- Alexis Brooke Faison of Durham was charged with 10 counts of identity theft and using a computer to collect fraudulent information following a month-long investigation by Alamance County and Durham detectives. More.

- In a follow-up to a case reported on this site and PHIprivacy.net previously, Michelle Courtney Johnson pleaded guilty to stealing patient information from Johns Hopkins Hospital and to conspiracy to commit bank fraud. Her co-defendant, Shanell Bowser, who had been employed by medical insurance adjuster Crawford & Company, also pleaded guilty. More.
