CA: Computers, personal info stolen from church

Betsy Lambert reports:

Thieves made off with computers full of personal information last week when they burglarized the Lutheran Church of Prayer on Panorama Drive.

Databases with employee and congregational information were in the stolen computers. Since the theft, Lutjens said at least one church employee’s home has been burglarized and another employee’s financial accounts were tampered with.

On Tuesday, while an Eyewitness News crew was at the church, news came that a man had tried to fraudulently cash a $927.68 check from the church’s account.
