CA: Personal information on hundreds found during traffic stop

Every time I see one of these stories about how a cache of stolen information was found during a routine traffic stop, I wonder whether the entity or entities had even known that their data had been stolen.

Santa Ana man faces identity theft and other charges after deputies found drugs and a flash drive containing names, birth dates, Social Security numbers and credit card numbers of several hundred people during a traffic stop.

Nicholas Chayette, 29, will be arraigned Friday at Whittier Superior Court.
