Ch: Cyber-attack on Swiss Cloud Computing AG

Swiss Cloud Computing AG describes itself as a leading Swiss cloud providersfor independent software vendors (ISVs) and ICT resellers. As Nau reports, they were hit with a ransomware attack last week.  The type of ransomware was not reported, but approximately 6,500 of Swiss Cloud’s customers were impacted.

The company has issued an updated statement that said, in part, that the firm’s efforts to restore the servers is being assisted by specialists from system partners at HPE and Microsoft.

“The work will continue over the weekend in 24-hour shifts,” they write. “Next Monday, May 3, Swiss Cloud computing AG will again provide information on the current status and outlook.”

They hope to have services restored next week.  At the time of this publication, however, Swiss Cloud’s web site could not be reached.
