Dripping Springs Independent School District notifies 367 of breach

Although no details can be found online yet, it appears that Dripping Springs ISD in Texas notified the Texas Attorney General’s Office of a breach affecting 367 Texans.  The breach reportedly involved the names of individuals, Address; Social Security Number Information; Driver’s License number; Medical Information; and Health Insurance Information.

Notice to the state was made on June 28, and letters were sent to those affected by U.S. mail.

At this point, then, it is not clear what type of breach this was (accidental exposure, hack, etc.) nor when it first occurred, but it likely involves employee data.

This post will be updated if more information becomes available.
