Federal judge allows organizations to file amicus briefs concerning Wyndham’s motion to dismiss FTC lawsuit

A federal court judge in New Jersey on Wednesday agreed to allow the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and several other organizations to seek the dismissal of a closely watched data breach lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission against Wyndham Worldwide Corp.

Read more on Computerworld.  I’ve previously uploaded and covered some of those briefs, which were submitted last year, as well as the brief by Public Citizen and Chris Hoofnagle in support of the FTC’s authority.  Their motion seeking leave to file was also granted Wednesday.
