Former South Elgin nurse gets court supervision for taking sexual images stolen from Naperville patient’s phone

A male registered nurse from South Elgin who stole sexual photos and videos from the phone of a Naperville woman being treated for substance abuse has been sentenced to court supervision and 20 days at the DuPage County work program.

Mark Luis, 36, of the 700 block of Waterside Drive, was found guilty of misdemeanor computer tampering in a bench trial and sentenced Friday by DuPage County Judge Brian Telander.

Note: this same story appeared to have been published by the same reporter and source on August 30, but that report says that the breach occurred in 2016. This one says 2017.  Previous coverage does suggest that it may have been a 2016 incident.
