Former Tufts Health Plan employee sentenced for stealing patient info

There’s an update to a case previously noted on this site. Scott J. Croteau reports:

A former Tufts Health Plan employee was sentenced in federal court after she stole the personal information of more than 8,700 customers and gave them to her brother and another man involved in a Social Security and tax refund scheme.

Emeline Lubin, 30, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Boston on Wednesday to three months in prison and three years of supervised release. She will be under home confinement for the first nine months of supervised release.
