Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputy charged with computer invasion of privacy

Nick Watson reports:

A Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputy was charged with computer invasion of privacy and violation of oath related to “unauthorized procurement of personal data for his own personal gain,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Michael Lusk, 49, of Cleveland was charged by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation following an investigation requested by the sheriff’s office.

“The charges stem from computer inquiries made by Lusk in early May which were not for official purposes,” Sgt. Kiley Sargent wrote in a news release.
