ID theft nets $45,000 in medical care

Police charged a Knightdale man today with attempting to receive medical treatment valued at more than $40,000 from a local hospital by using another person’s identity, court records show.

WakeMed police charged Stephen Thomas Mullen Jr. with one felony count of obtaining property by false pretenses, according to an arrest warrant filed this morning at the Wake County Magistrate’s Office.
