In: IT firm ex-employee booked for data theft

The former employee of an IT firm has been booked for allegedly stealing data from that company and selling it to industry competitors. He was sacked by the firm for misuse of data, and was later found to be using the stolen data for personal benefits.

As per the complaint lodged by Deepak Jagwani, company secretary, Daffodil Software Ltd in Sector 30, Subhash Chandra Agarwal of Hisar, was sacked in OCtober 2015 after it was found that he was involved in data theft, and had been selling it the firm’s competitors. He said that even after leaving the job, Agarwal continued to misuse the data.
