KY: Former jail employee pleads guilty to identity theft charges

A former employee of the Mason County Detention Center has entered a guilty plea to charges of identity theft.

In May, Belinda A. Morton, 43, was indicted on four counts false statement as to identity, for the purpose of procuring the issuance of a credit card using the name and identity of another person(s).

She was also indicted on two counts fraudulent use of a credit card, for making purchases totaling $2,464.34 on the credit cards obtained without permission.
