Credit reporting agency TransUnion has notified the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office that compromise of customer Midtown Motors’ login information resulted in the unauthorized access to an unspecified number of individuals’ credit reports.

In their letter, TransUnion states that the compromise was no fault of the customer’s (then how did it happen?), and TransUnion will remove what appears as an inquiry from Midtown Motors on the customers’ credit reports if they request it. TransUnion also offered those affected free credit monitoring.
