OK: Guthrie Public Schools hit by ransomware attack

KOCO 5 reports:

Guthrie Public Schools officials said they were the victims of a cyberattack after someone hit the district with a ransomware virus.

Superintendent Mike Simpson told KOCO 5 he was made away of the situation Sept. 16. Because of the safeguards in place, he said no personal information was taken from students or parents.
