Patient info goes for how much on the dark web?

So the next time you read a report about how much money patient info goes for on the dark web or read estimates about $200/record, perhaps you should shop around, because  medical records and health insurance info can be dirt  cheap.  This vendor will apparently sell you two patients’ records with their Social Security number, date of birth, an insurance information with photo, for a whopping 99 cents:

These days, you can buy medical records with SSN, DOB, and insurance info for less than $1.00 on the dark web.

See Trend Micro’s new report for more examples of how cheap PII and PHI may be going for on darknet marketplaces these days.  And note that just because someone lists a database for hundreds of thousands of dollars, well, it doesn’t mean that they’ll get that price.
