Personal information may have been leaked to the dark web after cyberattack on Tulsa’s computer system, officials warn

Posted on June 23, 2021June 23, 2021 by Dissent

Aya Elamroussi and Chris Boyette report:

Officials in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are warning residents their personal information may have been leaked to the dark web following a ransomware attack on the city last month.

The city announced Tuesday that hackers obtained more than 18,000 city files. The leaked files are mostly police citations and internal department files, officials said in a press release.

Read more on CNN.

Update:  the data were dumped by Conti (ryuk) threat actors.  While there are many incident reports with details and personal information, you have to feel badly for a woman who filed a fraud report after becoming a victim of identity theft. Now her new information, including her driver’s license is in all the data that have been dumped by Conti.
