Privacy Policy

When you visit or view DataBreaches.net, Word Press automatically collects some information about you such as your IP address and browser.

You do not need to register to use this site. And we do not ask you for your personal information. If you submit a comment on a post, you will be asked to provide an email address. Whether you choose to provide an accurate one is up to you.  Your IP address will also be collected, but it will not appear with your comment.

A cookie is set that expires at the end of the session. You can opt out of all non-essential cookies. Server logs are maintained to protect the security of the site and to help improve the site by analyzing aggregate data. Google Analytics is used to determine site performance.

The site may disclose data when required to by law, in response to a subpoena,  if served with a search warrant, or if your comments indicate you are engaging in criminal activity.  The site also may voluntarily disclose data about site activities to the site hosting company or others in connection with the operation, maintenance, and security of the site. This site does not and will not sell your data to others.

As it explains on the About page,  if you send an email threatening legal action, your email may be published on the site at my sole discretion, any confidentiality sigfiles in your email notwithstanding.  By emailing me,  you accept those terms. Do not expect me to be frightened by any legal threats you may send me. I get approximately one lawsuit threat every few weeks. As it also states on the About page,there is nothing you can threaten that will scare me even 1/10th as much as the day both my kids got their driver’s license within 15 minutes of each other.

This site is not responsible for the privacy policies of any sites it may link to.  Read their privacy policies. If you click on any sponsored link (ad),  your data may be collected or used by that site. Read How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.
