Safe stolen from Dayton chiropractic office

NewsTalkRadioWHIO reports:

A chiropractic office was broken into early Monday morning and reportedly had a safe and computer stolen.

The break in occurred at about 1:30 a.m. at Long Chiropractic, located at 4978 Northcutt Pl., according to a Dayton Police incident report.

Thieves broke out a window on the south side of the building and got away with the safe full of computer disks and a laptop computer.

It is unknown if any patient records were taken during the theft.

So the computer disks in the stolen safe did not contain any patient data? And the laptop didn’t? Or does the “It is unknown if…” statement simply mean that the radio station doesn’t know whether any  patient data were stolen although the chiropractor knows the answer?

I’m so confused…
