UK: Torbay patients' medical records found on Dawlish road

This is happening too damned frequently.

BBC reports that eight Torbay Hospital patients’ confidential medical records were found on a busy street in Devon. The records were in two courier bags found by a woman on the A379 yesterday afternoon.

Both the Royal Devon and Exeter (RD&E) Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, which manages Torbay Hospital, are investigating the incident, which reportedly involved the RD&E’s courier service, who were taking patients’ files to RD&E where they were to be seen for appointments.
