UK: University of Portsmouth closes campus due to ‘ransomware attack’

The University of Portsmouth has closed its campus due to ‘technical disruption’ to its IT network in what is believed to be a ransomware attack.
The institution’s buildings are closed until April 19. Students are currently on an Easter break.

A notice on the university’s web site states:
We are experiencing ongoing technical disruption. Please bear with us while we address the issue. We will update as further information becomes available.

Do we know what personal data of students has been hacked?

Are you assuming that student data was compromised? I haven’t seen any details yet on what data may have been either accessed, encrypted, and/or exfiltrated.
