Would you like that card fraud supersized?

Tresa Baldas reports that a McDonald’s employee in Oak Park has been charged in federal court in Detroit after being caught on video surveillance skimming customers’ credit or debit cards at the drive-thru window. It was the store manager who noticed the problem and contacted the Secret Service.

Baldas reports:

[Teresa] Pulliam, who was questioned by authorities on Monday, fessed up to the crime, admitting she stole more than 100 customer credit cards using the skimmer, which was found near the cash register. She said that she would steal roughly 15-to-20 accounts each time she worked the drive-thru cash register, the complaint said.

Pulliam said she got the skimming device from an unknown subject, who paid her more than $1,000 cash for providing the stolen credit card accounts, the complaint said. For every account she loaded onto the skimmer, she made $15, the complaint said.
