WV: Local health department warns 11,000 people of possible ID theft

Eric Eyre reports:

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department is sending 11,000 letters to people who received flu shots from the agency since October, warning them that their personal information may have been stolen by a former department temporary worker.

After searching Jossiah’s home, Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department detectives found a handwritten list of about 14 flu-shot recipients, including their names, social security numbers, addresses and other personal information, health Board President Brenda Isaac said Tuesday.
